Studies on food utilization shed light on food related dietary approaches. They give assessments of how food utilization is influenced by change in costs, salary and tax assessment approaches ( Dune and Edkins 2005) The examinations on food utilization example or consumption design are significant as it is identified with neediness and standard of our general public. Food being the first fundamental need gets the need in the use of individuals, particularly the poor classes. It is important to contemplate the adjustment in food utilization design under the changing circumstance of advancement, privatization and globalization. After advancement started in 1991, however much consideration has been paid to the decrease in head check proportion, less need have been concurred to the size and example of food utilization. Beam and Lancaster (2005) have as of late indicated that the connection had debilitated to the degree that the official destitution line in India today is very conflicted in relation to that dependent on the family least calorie prerequisites. This requires an examination on the extent and pattern in food utilization, particularly oats, over the change time frame in India, taking into account their solid ramifications for food and sustenance protections. Writing Review: Various investigations have been made as of late on the patterns of destitution, imbalance and level of living in Indian states during the 1990s. Some have featured the decrease in destitution (Sundaram and Tendulkar 2003; Bhanumurthy and Mitra 2004), while some others have communicated anguish over the rising financial imbalance (Deaton and Dreze, 2002; Sen and Himanshu, 2004; Krishna, 2004).There is a typical inclination that in spite of the fact that there has been some general improvement in the normal degrees of living of individuals over most of states, the individuals who were at that point on a superior balance could procure the upsides of the monetary changes in the 90㠢â‚ ¬Ã¥ ¸s and experience quicker development, while there was no unmistakable improvement for the least fortunate few. Once more, the rustic - urban consumption hole, accepted to have extended additional time, needs fastidious investigation. Campbell (1960) led an overview and had given an examination between more seasoned people and more youthful people at indistinguishable salary level. More youthful individuals, at all pay level, spend more on garments, furniture and various things than more established individuals yet less on clinical consideration. David (1962) contemplates uncovered that the size of the family and recurrence of buying durables, sorts of tough bought and the replacement of durables for business administrations hampers the utilization example of families. Gupta(1968) has thought about the distinctions in by and large utilization designs in the territory of UP and Tamil Nadu for the explanation of their known and particular financial , social and social contrasts .The examination has presumed that there exist huge contrasts in purchaser consumption on different classifications of thing in those states as a rule just as likewise among country and urban districts in every one of two states. Kwang (1972) had broke down the impact of salary just as other monetary and social segment attributes on families utilization consumption fundamentally among various gatherings. Chatterjee Bhattacharya(1972) have developed lists of buyer value differential between the country regions of various conditions of India with NSS eighteenth round information. Rao(1977), in her investigation has attempted to distinguish a few measures at improvement so as to recognize in reverse locales and in this manner to analyze the patterns in entomb local and bury sectoral inconsistencies in India. The examination by Sarkar(1983) in view of NSS buyer consumption information for 13,16,21 28 rounds underpins the speculation that degree of living and use design varies over the states. Kumar and Aggarwal (2004) decided the degree of neediness in Delhi ghettos through utilization examples, business and instructive status of the ghetto populace. Variables THAT INFLUENCE FOOD CONSUMPTION: Salary: Salary is a significant methods for extending the scope of utilization choices, particularly as economies around the globe become progressively adapted. Salary enables individuals to purchase assorted, nutritious nourishments as opposed to eating just their own harvests, to pay for mechanized vehicle as opposed to strolling, to pay for medicinal services and training for their families, to pay for water from a tap as opposed to strolling for a long time to gather it from a well. The expanding reliance of much utilization on private pay implies that adjustments in pay impact changesâ · in utilization. At the point when wages rise consistently utilization ascends for a large portion of the populace. Friends, See You Again!

Friends, See You Again! It has been three weeks since  I came to school without seeing those familiar faces. I miss my older friends a lot, and I would love to share my experience during commencement week back in May. This May, two of my friends graduated from Illinois  and continued their study in graduate schools. It was my first time attending a commencement, and I really had a lot of feelings. The speech by Mr. Huber, called “Find a Better Way,” was great, but I found the student speech during Sociology convocation especially impressive. Every friend of mine knows that my dream majors are majors like English Literature because I love reading and writing. In her speech “Light It Up,” Sana Singh showed her love of  Sociology and why she thought it was a great majorâ€"because it studies the operation of the whole society and is just as important as the majors north  of Green Street (College of Engineering) and south of Gregory Street (College of Business). She considers the knowledge she learned in Sociology things that light her up, which might be the same feeling shared by other students at the convocation. Her touching speech made me cry a little bit because I did not choose to learn things I truly love. However, I am grateful that I still have the habit to read and passion to write. Presentation and hooding of different degrees’ candidates were sweet as well. After years of studying, students got what they deserved and everyone wished them  bright futures. It’s hard to imagine myself at commencement two years later, and the only thing I hope is that I will not regret every effort I made at  Illinois. Before and after the commencement, I took a lot of photos with my friends. We designed quite a lot different poses and I really cherish this moment. On the Quad, near “Grainger Bob,” under that oak tree, inside Armory 101 (which we had a weekly club meeting) and of course we had to  take a picture in front of Alma Mater. Even though there was  a quite long line before her, we still waited for about an hour to get that picture. During commencement week, Alma Mater also wore blue  academic robes. We are all from different areas of  China and couldn’t see each other too often. During commencement  week, I got to meet my friends’ parents and have dinner with them. It’s just lovely to hear their funny stories from childhood and dreams about future. I wish all my friends a great and bright future. I will miss you guys. Please come and visit during breaks! The Four Noble Truths of Buddhism Essay - 791 Words

The Four Noble Truths of Buddhism #65279; Dukkha is the first of the four noble truths of Buddhism. The word means suffering, but just to state suffering as the entirety of the first noble truth, is not enough because the expression of dukkha is the first truth that is needed for salvation. Moreover, dukkha is the conclusion of a logical chain of ideas that explains the life and death cycle of mankind. Before a person recognizes the truth of dukkha, he lives in a space of ignorance and with ignorance he seeks the fulfillment of his desires, yet with every demand met, he soon finds dissatisfaction. The longer a person lives the more apparent the truth of demise. With birth comes pain; with living comes pain and suffering.†¦show more content†¦That is, what is the root cause of dukkha? In fact, to leave man with dukkha alone there is no salvation. Gautama concluded that tanya is at the heart of dukkha. Tanya, translated-craving, or desire gives a logical explanation for suffering and another releasing tru th. Man is born with thirst. Thirst for physical and emotional satisfaction. Man loves friends and family that all perish with man. It is the love that is the problem, not the temporary nature of life. In addition, it is the desires of man that causes sufferings. The book of James stated the truth of tanya in James 1:14, â€Å"But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.† Gautama’s discipline in the second noble truth is to extinguish the craving. It is man’s lusts, desires and cravings that are the cause of dukkha, certainly not the dukkha itself. Tanya also contains the concept of ignorance. Ignorance is the inability to see the truth about things, to see things as they really are. It is true that ignorance is a component of dukkha, but Gautama states that ignorance sits in the root cause of dukkha. Therefore, ignorance begins with tanya. Plainly stated, ignorance is not the casual western definition of the word, but it is a link in a chain. For example, man strives for permanence and fulfillment, but he is ignorant of the fact that existence will never bring true satisfaction. China’s Trade Disputes Free Essays

China’s Trade Disputes Disputes over protection of Intellectual Property Complainant: United States Respondent: China Before China Joined the GAIT (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) in 1986, it was a planned economy. What that does mean? It means that the government was in charge of the production, investment and prices. In other words, the government was in charge of running the economy. We will write a custom essay sample on China’s Trade Disputes or any similar topic only for you Order Now By that time, China almost had no international commerce but only with socialist countries such as the former USSR and Yugoslavia. It was not until 1992, that China began to lower its tariffs. As a result of that, China began to grow steadily and in 2001 China Joined the WTFO (World Trade Organization). According to Professor David W. Conklin and Danville Caddied (China’s Trade Disputes, Richard Vive School of Business, The University of Western Ontario, 2009) China had a 42. 9% tariff rate in 1992; 16. 6% in 2001 and since then it has been around 9. 8%. These figures show how China the decreased its tariff rates since 1992 to the present. According to the WTFO (World Trade Organization), the average Chinese tariff rate in 2011 was 9. 6%. 1 China Joining the WATT had its own percussions; on one hand, it was a new market with a rapidly growing population, which was attractive for many international investors. On the other hand, China’s export increased extremely fast, this rapid growth affected many industries in advanced economies. What is the reason behind this outcome? There were several issues regarding China’s commerce policies that caused a stream of trade disputes between China and other economies. In spite of having the Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), many Chinese producers were accused of racy and counterfeiting. The purpose of the Trips was to provide protection in the wide area of intellectual property. However, that was not the case in China; even though, the Chinese government based its Intellectual Property Rights on U. S. And EX. countries, they were not applying those policies effectively. Counterfeiting and piracy in China were estimated to be around 15% to of all the products made in the local market. These type of illegal activities composed 8% of China’s GAP. 5 The main issue regarding Intellectual Property is the fact that for most developing countries, he easiest way to achieve competitiveness is through counterfeiting successful products and by copying business practices. Why is this a major problem? The answer is simple; these developing economies have as their competitive advantage: low wage rates. If they copy a product and produce it with those low salaries, they are able to sell it with a price lower than the original one. There is no doubt that these type of products are going to steal market share from the companies that originally produced them affecting not only those companies but also the economies that purport them. The main purpose of International laws that protect Intellectual Property is not only to secure fair business but also to keep Jobs in the domestic market not to offshore all those Jobs to other foreign countries. We know that weak PR polices and lesser penalties are factors that allow the spread of counterfeiting and piracy within an economy. Furthermore, a deficient legal system can be a cause of this too. However, according to John Lehman, this issue might be caused by a different factor: he said that Intellectual Property was not part of the â€Å"Traditional† Chinese legal code. He concludes that the main problem about Intellectual property in China is not caused by a deficient legal system nor economy but from intellectual and cultural factors. After the creation of the WIPE (World Intellectual Property Organization) in 1970, the WTFO functioned as a forum for the negotiation of international policies on major issues. However, violations concerning PR (Intellectual Property Rights) proved to be extremely difficult to handle. Especially with technological products that use to have very short product cycles. Overall, with all the genealogical advances, it was really hard to create a n accurate legislation to address all of these new type of problems. There is a thin line between counterfeiting and using the product as a base to improve it, issues like that were a headache for the WTFO. On April 2007, the United States demanded a consultation with China relating to the protection of PR in China. The matters that were discussed during this series of consultations were: the lack of an efficient criminal procedure and set of penalties for commercial piracy, the prohibition to let counterfeited products to be released onto foreign markets and the boundaries in which a copyright piracy consists in of an unauthorized copying. The panel concluded that, to the extent that the Copyright Law and the Customs measures as such are inconsistent with the TRIPS Agreement, they nullify or impair benefits accruing to the United States under that Agreement, and recommended that China bring the Copyright Law and the Customs measures into conformity with its obligations under the TRIPS Agreement†. 8 On April 2010, China and U. S. Informed the Di spute Settlement Body (IDS) that the agreed procedures were effectively in progress. Opinion: The protection of PR is one of the most important things for developed countries. I agree that counterfeiting and piracy should be severely punished. However, in this case I found an interesting opinion: â€Å"Why should these countries honor the property ownership of other when their own manufacturers could create Jobs and nurture domestic prosperity through piracy and counterfeiting? † This is obviously the other side of the coin it involves a social issue. But I think that copying (not counterfeiting not piracy) can be useful sometimes. I remember reading that after WI, Japan sent several of this workers to work in U. S. In order to get the American know-how. What they did was not counterfeiting because they didn’t copy the products but they used the models as their base in order to improve it. That’s an interesting idea, especially for developing economies. Recently I watched a documentary about the race between China and India. The main difference between both economies was that India was using innovation in order to grow; on the other hand, China was relying more on copying products than innovating. The same documentary showed that in the present counterfeiting laws are stronger in China but it is still an issue. How to cite China’s Trade Disputes, Papers China’s Trade Disputes Free Essays China’s Trade Disputes Disputes over protection of Intellectual Property Complainant: United States Respondent: China Before China Joined the GATE (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) in 1986, it was a planned economy. Old Mrs Chundle And Darkness Out There Essays - Sandra,

Old Mrs Chundle And Darkness Out There The two short stories "The Darkness Out There" and "Old Mrs Chundle" both deal with similar relationships, whilst at the same time having many differences. The most pronounced similarity of the two stories is that both deal with younger people's relationships with an older person. Another marked theme is that Hardy's story concerns itself with the curate's deception (unconsciously) of Mrs Chundle, while in the Lively one it's the younger people who are deceived by appearances. Kerry Stevens and Sandra in "The Darkness Out There" (from Sandra's point of view) have an interesting relationship, which develops throughout the story; at the beginning, Kerry is seen to be quite immature and is looked down upon by Sandra: "Kerry Stevens that none of...(Sandra's) lot reckoned much on ... some people you only have to look at to know they're not up to much." This is quite a harsh view from Sandra, taking into consideration the fact that she doesn't really know him. Sandra believes that she is much more mature than Kerry, "she considered him, over a chasm, Mum said boys matured later, in many ways," and this shows how ironic Penelope Lively is being concerning the relationship. For, throughout the story, it's Kerry who acts more maturely than Sandra. He offered her some chocolate when she'd been yelling at him for jumping out of the bush as she's walking to Mrs Rutter's, and he's the first to realise the old lady is not all she appears to be (" "I don't go much on her." ") Sandra bases her opinions a lot on appearances, and this is why at first she sees nothing out of the ordinary with Mrs Rutter. This is also the way she is with Kerry; while all the time we are led by Sandra to believe that she's the adult one (although all the time the reader knows this isn't true) this illusion is in fact shattered at the ending, when we see Kerry (from Sandra's point of view) in a different light. "Are people who help other people not always very nice looking?" This shows how shallow Sandra is, with her immature dreams and fantasies ("One day she'd have a place in the country... a little white house peeping over a hill.") Lively, while all the time telling the reader ironically that Sandra is the more adult, nevertheless through her writing shows the reader the true scale of things (that Kerry is much more mature than Sandra all along). Lively, by reporting the way Kerry acts and speaks in the eyes of Sandra, shows how false the circumstances are regarding the youngster's relationship and the way the girl perceives it. This is similar to in "Old Mrs Chundle," the way relationships are sometimes misinterpreted by those involved with it. Sandra sees the relationship as her being superior to him at the start, while all along it's Kerry who has the guts to face up to the stark reality of Mrs Rutter's hidden past. The relationship between Mrs Chundle and the curate in Hardy's story is a misunderstood and uneven one too; Mrs Chundle, after befriending the curate while he was out painting (a past-time she could never do due to her social class and financial circumstances), believes she's found a"real friend" in the younger man; whereas the curate views Mrs Chundle, rather coldly, as a charity case. For example, when the curate goes to the rector to ask about the old woman he'd just received dinner from he refers to her as "a curious old soul", which is a rather emotionally detached way of speaking about her, almost as if she's some sort of foreign being! Another point why I feel the curate to be so apathetic is the way he's so quick to judge Mrs Chundle after hearing from his rector that she told him a small lie about going to church. Only after a few seconds of conversation, the curate passes judgement when he doesn't know the full story; that she wants to save herself the embarrassment of not hearing a word at church due to her deafness. This is an insight into how the curate's mind works. We must judge the Hardy characters more by the way they act and speak rather than into any past flashbacks or mental workings revealed to the reader like in "The Darkness Out There." This is because there are less insights into what the characters are thinking in "Old Mrs Chundle" ? we must rely upon

How to Build a Marketing Report Quickly (Free Template) - CoSchedule

How to Build a Marketing Report Quickly (Free Template) Most marketers would rather not spend time building reports. It can be a tedious process that takes your focus off doing other work. However, good reporting is essential for proving your efforts are moving the needle. The key, then, is learning how to build effective reports quickly. That way, you’ll be able to show (with real data) how well you’re performing. You’ll also have more time to spend on things that actually make a difference (instead of compiling  reports). In this post, we’ll walk through a complete marketing report template you can use. It’s built to be flexible and editable to adjust to your own needs. We’ve also intentionally excluded complex formulas that, while beneficial for automation, can easily break when adding or removing portions you may or may not need. We’ll also show you: How to build this report using free tools. Different marketers have different tool sets and workflows. So, for the purposes of this post, we’ll demonstrate how and where to find usable data from free sources. Replace those tools with your own paid alternatives where necessary. How to analyze your marketing performance and translate it into language others can understand. How to get this all done quickly so you can spend your time on other things. Now, let’s make you a marketing reporting master. Why Bother Building Reports, Anyway? If you can find all your analytics data inside your reporting tools, or within individual apps and services themselves, then why do you need to complete formal reports? Here are a few reasons: Your boss and company executives need to see all your data in one place. They want to see your numbers, and they want to see them quickly. You need that visibility yourself. Mashing together data from multiple sources in one location can help you connect the dots in ways you wouldn’t otherwise. It’s useful for others in your company to see how marketing is performing. Beyond executives and decision-makers, other staff might benefit from seeing the numbers. To make this whole process more expedient, download your template below. How To Build A Marketing Report Quickly (Free Template)Section 1: Marketing and Sales Summary First and foremost, marketing needs to increase your bottom line. So, that’s where our reporting template will start. To begin, include a short summary of three successes your team achieved over the past month: These could include: Successful projects you’ve recently completed. Significant increases on your KPIs. Problems your team has been able to solve. Anything you’ve achieved that’s worth sharing can go in this space. Next, let’s take a look at your sales and revenue. These are the numbers that rule your entire life (as a marketer). Where to Find This Info Start with your own team to find quick wins to share. If you’re not immediately aware of what those might be, ask your supervisor or coworkers. Try to find stories that show what you’re accomplishing to earn your paychecks. Depending on your role and the size of your organization, tracking down your sales data may not be as obvious. If you don’t typically dig into tools that can show this data (CRMs, Google Analytics, and so forth), you may need to get some outside help. If that’s the case for you, here are some starting points to consider: Ask your sales team. They should have numbers for leads and revenue. Your finance department. Again, they should know how much money is coming in. Your sales management or tracking software. If your company uses such a service, see if you can get access for reporting purposes. Regardless of where they come from, what’s important is that you report accurate numbers. Recommended Reading: How to Rock at Relationship Marketing Like the Best Sales Pros Section 2: Website / Blog Performance Report You’ve likely invested a hefty chunk of change in your website. If you’re running a blog, you’re (hopefully) putting ample resources into publishing consistent content, too. In either instance, you should be making sure they’re both earning their keep.

The incident, blamed on failure of the rig owner to rein in the warning signs and put in place adequate risk prevention and management programs, killed almost a dozen crew members and injured several others. The development then resulted in a massive leakage of oil into the sea, resulting in an unfathomable environmental disaster in the Gulf Sea. The catastrophic failure of the BP Oil drilling rig was generally the most dangerous ever in the history of offshore oil drilling projects. Sources of construction project risk a. Timeline On January 30th 2010, the Deepwater Horizon transferred its equipment to about 45 miles off the Louisiana coast in order to begin oil drilling operations at the Macondo well (Owens, 2012). In early April, an assessment was carried out to ascertain rig’s condition after Transocean Ltd., the chief operator the facility saw it wise to do so. On April 15, a cement job expert at the well-site travelled abroad to attend a conference on rig management techniques (Balaguer, 2010). A Halliburton’s employee specialized in designing cement job for plugging the well against spills, advised BP that the site needed 21 stabilizers to position the drill pipe at the centre, but BP superiors overruled his decision and directed the work to continue with only six centralizers in place. On April 18, Halliburton carried out a vital test on the cement that was set for use, but denied BP some of the results. Meanwhile the company advised BP that the well was at risk of leaks if the work proceeded with fewer than the earlier recommended 21 centralizers. On April 19, the drilling work was completed to the desirable depths. This paved way for installation of the casing and pumping of the cement to stabilize the rig. Whereas, the work was behind schedule by more than a month, finishing touches were done on 20th April. However, the well immediately failed, and triggered a blowout (Owens, 2012). b. Costs Transocean through Triton Asset Leasing Company was managing the rig. However, BP entered into a contract to use the rig for three years off the Louisiana coast. The contract was valued at $544 million, for the equipment only, with employees, supporting gear and other vessels costing

REASERCH METHODOLOGY Method of data collection:- Primary sources:- It is a marketing research project so to collect the data two type of questioner is used for survey. I. In-house questioner is used to collect the data of existing customers of company at the time of delivery of their thesis. II. Outhouse questioner is used to collect the data from different universities of Kolkata. Secondary sources:- It is the data which has already been collected by someone or an organization for some other purpose or research study .The data for study has Been collected from various sources: Companies website Other Internet sources Past Data of organisation Time: 3 months Statistical Tools Used: Simple tools like bar graphs, tabulation, line diagrams have been used for analysis of data. LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY Very small Sample Size as compared to the target customers. Therefore a possibility of making error. Limited amount of times as the survey is time consuming. Geographic limitations. Project is only to understand customer satisfaction and swot analysis for thesis binding not for other type of bookbinding. Collection of data is only from existing customers required services not from customers who have already taken services in past.. MainTEXT Description of project in brief As I explained above in introduction the project is to measure the customer satisfaction level and to find out Swot analysis of thesis binding, So that company can come to know about satisfaction level of customers by its presently available services and came to know about what kind of up gradation is possible to upgrade our services and to serve the customer in better way and to measure that if any step company have taken is it feasible or not. Companies main focus is services oriented because the company is looking for expanding the business and to attract more customers, and to get the idea of new trends of thesis binding what customer expect from the company so that company can fulfil their wish of customers that helps the company to retain its present customers and to attract new customers . Recently Dhar Brothers start new services like online delivery services to the customers , that works as more beneficial for both the companies and customers point of view , most of the time what happened if customer have not time to come at company or away from Kolkata like from different state or cities than customer can submit their orders on companies website, where everything is mentioned about services of companies and by filling the demand form according to their requirement and made payment online , from where company take the customers order and provide them service and finished the work of customer within 48 hours after that if you are from Kolkata, you can take delivery from company and if you are from outside the Kolkata and if you cant come , your thesis would be courier on your address. TO understand the SWOT of company to get advantage from competitors and minimize the risks of business, as I discussed after clear understanding of strength, weakness, opportunities and threat, company can take necessary steps to maintain their strength as a tool of success, and take the advantage of new opportunities and work on remove the weakness, who are coming in path of success of company and mitigate the threats. The strategy used to proceed the work, first after clearly understanding the work of company and what to do, I first prepare two questioner, one is for in-house survey to collect the data from customers at the time of their delivery, to get their valuable feedback and to measure their customer satisfaction level and to get the idea what kind of new improvement is required according to them, and what company should do to serve them better in future , so that companies sales will increase in future second is outhouse questioner to collect data by surveying PHD or those people who are doing research work across different universities of Kolkata and then after collecting the data and proper analysis of that data will be done by using different technology to find the conclusions of problems and recommendation and what steps should be taken to improve services and to expand business or to attract new customers. Market growth rate of company Market rate has been found out by using the data of the customers who already have done their thesis work in 2009 and 2010. The data has been shown below Source: this data is based on the no of copies for the thesis binding month wise of Dhar Brothers. The data which have been shown in the given table is the number of copies which has been completed in the year 2009 and 2010. From the collected data which have been shown above shows that there is an increment in the growth rate of 13.6% in the year 2010 compared to 2009. This shows that customer base of Dhar brothers is increasing every year so to meet with the demands of these customer and serve them better company have to increase their present resources, like skilled human resource , Machinery, better infrastructure etc. to meet with this challenge in future. Market Size Market size plays an important role to find out the areas where we can target the customers or it shows which area we should focus for the thesis binding. The market size can help the company to come to know about the untapped areas or the areas from where less business is coming, so can company can make strategy and can take right decision to cover these untapped areas and areas from where less business is coming. Number of customers coming in Dhar Brothers from different universities can be understand by the help of below graph, here In this graph I have not showed customers of all the universities I just try to show where we have to focus more to increase business and sales of company. Source: This data is taken from Dhar Brothers. Horizontal Axis: Months Vertical Axis: Number of copies The data shown in the graph is the number of copies that have been taken on the vertical axis and month has been taken in the horizontal axis. As we can see from the above graph that in all the Four months from January to April, the number of students coming in company from Calcutta university is more than any other university. And from the other university like Rabindra Bharthi is comparatively less than the Calcutta university, So our market Size is Rabindra bharathi and Vidyasagar University as well as B.Ecollege, Jadhvpur university . The message which I want to clear with the help of this above graph is that, here in our company customers from Calcutta university is coming more than all other universities of Kolkata, so these universities are like the areas from where less business is coming except C.U., So company should take steps to increase business from these universities, by doing promotion ,make better relationship with guides of students. Demand of services Which services provided by Dhar Brothers is more in demand is easily understand by below graph- Source: This data is taken from survey of customers and from Dhar Brothers past data. The data collected is of the year 2011 from January to March. From the above graph we can find out which product of the company is in more demand. As we can see in the graph hard binding is in more demand as compared to the other demand, so company should more focus on hard binding service to satisfied the needs and expectation of customers from Dhar Brothers Because this service is more in demand and as well as company should also focus on superiority of other services. METHODOLOGY REASERCH METHODOLOGY Various products/services being offered by Dhar Brothers. The kind of responses received during survey of customers. The form of activities which is effective from the point of view of Customer satisfaction and Swot analysis. To understand what kind of services and customization customers want. To understand the customer needs and expectation from company. Developing innovative methods of approaching the target group . The survey conducted, would help in identifying the perception of a customer about services of company, which would further help in identifying the customer need and expectation and what kind of customization customer wants from company that in other words can say to provide value of money to customers . The survey conducted would give insight regarding whether Dhar Brothers should increase the services for their customers and if yes then in what type of services. Design of Questioner: Two types of questioner is used for survey in house and outhouse. Design of inhouse questioner: In-house questioner is designed for survey of in-house customers at the time of delivery of their thesis binding, the parameter have been taken in this questioner by keeping in the mind that the facts these customer have already taken the service of company, the following parameters have taken, to measure the satisfaction level of customer and analysis of swot areas. Details of customers include name, university, area of thesis, contact number, email-id. From where customer came to know about company? How much customer satisfied with printing, paper binding and price with respect to quality, delivery service within 48hours? How much customer satisfied with service like, waiting time, Employee Behavior, Working environment? What is the strength of company, measurement is done on the basis of some point, for that I attached the questioner at end of project? What is the requirement of customer? At the end an open ended question to get the customers view to serve them better. Design of outhouse questioner: Out house questioner is used for survey of PHD or research students in different universities of Kolkata, in this questioner points have taken by keeping in mind that these customer will use the service of company in future because the Dhar Brother has monopoly in the market regarding business of thesis binding, so by getting earlier the idea of expectation of customers and what type of service they are looking for , so the company will provide that service to customers in future, the point have taken in this questioner are as follows. Details of customers include name, university, area of thesis, contact number, email-id. University name from which the students belong to so that company can find out from which university maximum students will apply for the thesis binding. One question has been put in the questionnaire regarding the month for the thesis binding so that company can get to know their completion of project in advance and will try to capture by using the phone number to increase the sales of company. Selection of sample size: For measuring customer satisfaction and Swot analyisis I have collected the data of 170 customers by using both in-house and outhouse customers. In this project we have considered only those people who are doing their research work either from PhD or their own research work like thesis on literature. (note: because of time constraint could not gather much ). Data collection methods: Data will be collected by survey and interviewing of both in-house and out house customers. For in-house data collection surveying and interviewing of customers will do at the time of delivery of their thesis binding, so customer after checking their delivery can have the idea of quality of their binding and give us the proper response regarding their satisfaction level and other methods I m following to collect the data from our past customers by calling them on their contact no. or by the help of e-mail id and in survey of in-house customers I havent faced any problem. I have collected the data of 170 customers. And for the outhouse survey, my target was PHD students or students who are doing research in different universities of Kolkata , So by visiting in different Kolkata universities and interviewing these people , I have collected the data I had approached in following universities of Kolkata like Calcutta university . Rabindra Bharti , Jadhvpur univer sity, Shibpur B.E college, WBUT etc. Challenges faced in Out house Survey: Initially after visiting in Kolkata universities following problems have come in my path are as To enter inside universities and do the survey work. How to meet PHD students because there are no regular daily classes of PHD students. Sometimes Communication problem because here people mostly communicates in Bengali. To take permission from authorities to do survey work and to find out at what time I can meet with PHD students. Strategies used to overcome these challenges: By using the Reference of college identity card and doing research for academic requirement , till know I have got success to meet with PHD department authorities in universities like Rabindra Bharti universities and Jadhvpur university. I m trying to get the record of students PHD departments o like contact number or email-id , so that I can contact them to collect data . From project guides and PHD authorities get the time when I can meet with these peoples. FINDINGS AND ANALYSIS INITIAL findings The various findings of from the information collected are Dhar Brothers only do binding of thesis of research work. By a comparative analysis of customers of different universities of Kolkata as well as from other states and cities, it can be understood that company has reasonable price with respect to overall quality and Dhar Brothers has monopoly in this thesis binding business no other such big player available in Kolkata for thesis biding. Company imports material for thesis binding like paper, cover page material from Netherland, so the focus of company is to provide best quality and service to our customers. Customers here comes from other states and cities also apart from Kolkata, like Darjeeling, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam etc., this shows that company has good Brand image , and known for superior quality and fast services. Company has efficient resources, adequate infrastructure and skilled labour and working environment to do the work. Customer appreciate the online order service of company and Home delivery to customers who are away from Kolkata or have some problems to come, this service will help customers to finish their work at time and cost effective also. Customers also appreciate the fast delivery service of company within 48 hours. Hard Binding service provided by company is more in demand. Dhar Brothers has good brand image in this business of thesis binding. ANALYSIS Data which have been collected through questionnaire from in-house and out house will be used for the analysis of data. As the data in the questionnaire contains various different parameters like quality price, delivery system, waiting time, location and others. These parameters will be used for the data analysis and found out the relation between the different parameters. The target group for the survey is PHD students and those who do research work of age group normally more than 25 years of age. Sample Size: 170 (Note : due to time constraint, sufficient amount of response from customers was not gathered) Customers response how they come to know about Dhar Bothers: Friends (Who have used service in past)-62% Guide- 16% Others-2% Family members-12% Internet-8% Graph of customers response how they come to know about Dhar brothers. (Source: This graph is drawn on the basis data collected by customers during survey jan.-april) Above graph shows clear representation from which source number of customer comes here. As we clearly understand from above data and graph Dhar Brothers required more methods of promotion to increase sales of their company because 62% customer come here are recommended by their friends, so company should do promotion in News papers, and Internet On major Research sites so during research of their work, Customer come to know about Dhar brothers, that will help company to boost their sales and by giving demonstration in education fares and in universities. Customer Satisfaction Analysis The parameters which I have taken to measure the customer satisfaction level are , printing quality, paper quality, binding quality , service within 48 hours, waiting time, adequate infrastructure, working environment price with respect to quality . It can be better understand by below graph. Customer satisfaction on the basis of quality of material used for Thesis binding work. (Source: This graph is drawn on the basis data collected by customers during survey ,jan-april) As by analysis of above graph it is clearly visible that customer satisfaction level is very high, customers are highly satisfied by the material quality used for thesis purpose like paper, printing quality, Binding quality, so this is good sign for company. Paper quality 85% are highly satisfied and 15% are average satisfied there is not even one customer who is not satisfied Same is the case with printing and binding quality, from binding quality 80% are highly satisfied and 20% are average and from printing quality 77% are highly satisfied and 23% are average satisfied. Customer satisfaction on the basis of services of company and proximity to location (Source: This graph is drawn on the basis data collected by customers during survey, jan.-april) From the above graph it is clearly visible the customer satisfaction level of services provided by company, customer satisfaction level is very high except some parameter like waiting time, Proximity of location. So company have to work on reduce the waiting time by increase human resource and more systems to provide fast service and other one proximity to location the company can do improve it by taking online demand and home delivery to customer because to open other branches in different location is not feasible for company it requires lot of resources and wealth. And overall if we focus customers are highly satisfied. This shows that feasible steps which companies should take to improve services and customer satisfaction level. Customers satisfaction level regarding overall quality with respect to price Customers satisfaction level regarding overall quality with respect to price is given below with the help of graph. (Source: This graph is drawn on the basis data collected by customers during survey from January to april) From the above graph it is clearly understandable that only 10% customer is very low satisfied with price of Dhar Brothers and 90% are satisfied with price of company with respect to quality out of which 62% customers are highly satisfied and 28 % are average satisfied, so overall customers are satisfied with price, company should not bothered much about those 10% low satisfied customers. Companys main focus should on 90% of customers. From the above three graph used on the basis different parameters it is cleared that customers are satisfied except some parameters like waiting time and proximity to location. The data have taken in all the graphs are of four months January to April. Analysis of what was the requirement of customers The parameters we used for analysis of requirements of customers are services provided by company like Formatting, Printing, Binding Printing, Binding Copier and Binding Only Binding (Source: This graph is drawn on the basis data collected by customers during survey from January to april) It would be understand from the above graph, what percentage of customers taken which category of service, company focus is that every customer should take our first category of services formatting, printing, binding it would give more profit to company but after collection of data and survey of customers it have been found that those customers who have not good knowledge of formatting only those customers taken this service and those who can do formatting done by self to save cost. Fast food restaurant Essay

The fast food industry has been growing dramatically during the last few years. For this reason, we should try to find out what are the several factors why fast food consumption keeps growing among young people. Therefore, as we have seen, the popularity of fast food is spreading rapidly among many people due to the following three main reasons: good taste, convenient time, and price. â€Å"Over the last three decades, fast food has infiltrated every nook and cranny of American society,† writes Eric Schlosser in Fast Food Nation. In the beginning, the fast food restaurant started with a cafeteria-style restaurant known as the â€Å"Automat† in New York on July 7, 1912. Then, in 1921, White Castle restaurants were started in Wichita, Kansas, selling hamburgers for five cents. By 1948, McDonalds was opened by two brothers from Nashua, New Hampshire, who developed the concept of selling hamburgers, French fries, shakes, coffee, and coca cola in disposable wrappings. So from its humble beginnings, the fast food industry has become an undeniable factor in our society. Certainly, with our ever increasing and busy society, eating at fast food restaurants has become the norm. Families that have busy schedules, such as taking their kids to various activities, attending church functions, and late meetings rely heavily on fast food as a meal choice. For example, about one-quarter of adults and a third of children eat at fast food restaurants on any given day. According to the American Journal of Public Health, consumers have spent $16. 1 billion in 1975 to $153. 1 billion in 2004 on fast food. People are generally drawn to good tasting food. With fast food, it couldn’t of ever tasted any better. No matter how unhealthy it is, we cannot deny that we have a love affair with the value meals, the fast service, home delivery and of course the drive-through. We no longer feel the need to slave away in the kitchen; we can just save so much time by satisfying ourselves with a relatively cheap McDonalds meal. It is ironic that in order to achieve the ever-increasing financial goals that we set for ourselves needed to feed our individual families, we must restrict ourselves from high quality food, the very diet that defines success, in favor of food that can be seen as more cost effective, and fast food fits the part perfectly. Moreover, the fast food industry has created many job opportunities for people who in normal circumstances would find work difficult to come by. Many young college students take on the challenge of working in a Burger King or Taco Bell kitchen in interest of supporting themselves financially. There are a countless number of students who decide to apply for jobs in the fast food industry to help them pay off their tuition. Working in the fast food industry can also be viewed as a potential transitional job for certain individuals. For in the present economy, many people have now found themselves jobless, while working in a fast food chain might not be desirable to them in comparison to their former jobs, it could be seen as a perfect temporary replacement while one searches for a new equally lucrative long term job. Some individuals go for fast food as they consider it to be a treat for themselves. There are many people who like fun and one of the best places that they can always get that is at the fast food restaurants. A part from just eating, they also find the places as socializing venues where they can make many friends. The fast food restaurants also offer a lot of entertainment zones that make their clients comfortable as they enjoy their meals; this is one factor that will make many people to prefer going there as opposed to cooking food for themselves at their homes. People also love fast food because there are so many of them next to their work place, their homes, on the side of the road or in any petrol station. That’s an important point to many people, because when they feel like having a fast food meal, they don’t waste a lot of time searching for a restaurant to eat from. They just find the restaurant near the place they are in. We cannot deny the world has undergone a â€Å"fast food revolution† over the past few years, and I believe there is good reason for the immense popularity of this â€Å"fast food culture† we are presently living in. It maybe greasy and unhealthy, but it is ultimately cheaper than home cooking and its convenience to the incredibly busy urban lifestyle is too significant to ignore. Fast food should be viewed as a positive aspect of our society as a result of the advantages it presents to us in our hectic lives, but we should not abuse it. In the words of actress Mae West: â€Å"Too much of a good thing can be wonderful†, however in this case it is quite the contrary.

What I Learned About Personal Motivation - 993 Words

What I Learned About Personal Motivation The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) has given me insightful information over 4 different dichotomies: 1)Where I focus my attention 2) How I take in information 3) How I make decisions based on the information and 4) How I deal with the world. After completing the assessment, I was dubbed ‘INTJ’. This being 9% Introvert, 38% iNtuitive, 3% Thinking, and 31% Judging. To my surprise, after reading the detailed report, I found most of the information presented, to be ‘spot on’. According to the Center for Confidence and Well-Being, â€Å"Of all the personality types, INTJs are most motivated by â€Å"vision†. They have a great need to come up with a unifying idea of a future, improved state, which is then their job to realize. This inner vision can be so strong for INTJs and so individual that they are often reckoned to be the most independent-minded of all the types† (Craig, C., 2014). This provided me w ith great validation that I have been lucky enough to find myself in the right career. Currently, I am the interim Director of Quality at an acute care hospital in San Diego. Daily, myself and my team are looking for ways to improve hospital processes, systems, and relationships.
